The Edmonton and District Soccer Association provides soccer programs in the Edmonton district for adults of all ages.

Office Information

Beginning Monday, March 16, 2020, the EDSA office will be closed to in-person visitations.  Staff will be working remotely from home to prepare for the 2020 Outdoor Season, with an anticipated May 1st season start.  It will be business as usual, except for office access.  We ask that all communication with staff happen via email, fax or phone call for the next two weeks, with an update happening at that time.

For players, coaches and managers requiring identification cards, we will look at beginning that process in April.  We will offer extended hours, if necessary, to meet the demand.

As we continue to prepare for the 2020 outdoor season, we are looking for ways to ease some of the uncertainty that many of our members are facing.  On a bi-weekly basis, we will be meeting with representatives of the Alberta Soccer Association and other districts around the province to develop contingencies should the COVID-19 pandemic stretch further into the summer months.

In an effort to reduce the amount of unnecessary social contact for our members and staff, the EDSA has worked with Moneris to now take payments over the phone, starting March 19th.  The EDSA will not be storing credit card information and will only take the payment information over the phone, processing the transaction immediately with the caller.   If you require any further clarification or information, please contact us at your convenience.

The next deadline that requires any payment is April 15th, the final date for affiliations.  The EDSA will, however, be waiving the affiliation fee for the 2020 outdoor season.  We realize that the potential for a shortened playing season may put increased demands on players, and we want our members to have the option to form an affiliation with another team to help ease that burden.  We also recognize that, with the number of layoffs that have occurred due to the current situation, financial constraints may be challenging for many of you.  This is a small step to hopefully easing some of the burden.   If you have any questions about affiliations and how they work, please refer to the EDSA Rules and Regulations (posted under Rules on the EDSA web site) or contact Paul Laking ( or Mike Thome (  We will be happy to help you out!

Mini World Cup & Heritage Cup

Unfortunately, due to outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, the 2020 Mini World Cup and Heritage Cup have been postponed.  We hope to hold the event in the fall.

The EDSA has, effective immediately, suspended play for the remainder of the 2019-20 Indoor Season.  This includes all league, playdown and challenge games, as well as the Mini World Cup and Heritage Cup tournaments.

For more information, please see the memo issued regarding this matter.
